So I recently found a Tarzan TV show with Travis Fimmel as Tarzan and I just watched episode 5...

With a waterfall and long wet hair and BUTT SHOT.

It's like I'm unknowingly playing this horrible game with myself. "How many creaters I admire can get on the bad side within the year?" Earlier their was the Europe Incident with Colleen Doran and now I've accused Gail Simone of identity theft. I've probably unknowingly insulted Warren Ellis and Tommy Roddy aswell. *headdesk*

It is possible I may die of happiness. So don't be put off if I become a zombie. That is all.

Chibi Seme
Take Are you a Seme or an Uke? today!
Created with Rum and Monkey's Personality Test Generator.</p>
You are the seme in disguise. Able to fit in and get along with uke and seme alike, you are able to get close to the uke on their level before exerting your dominance. This makes you at times manipulative and able to fool others about your true seme nature. Because of your harmless appearance, it takes the flamboyantly gay Flaming Uke to really bring out your aggressive side and expose you for the seme that you are.

I am going to rewrite the Shatterstar wikipedia page! Because I was just there and realised it's pretty darn bad, mostly yapping about how his history doesn't make sense with no extra infomation. Even the images sucks (liefeld, blah!). It needs work! So that's my new project. :)

Possible spoilers about Rictor in X-Factor from Lying in the Gutter at CBR.

I'm gonna be pessimistic about this but I'll buy the new X-Factor when it's comes out tomorrow to see if it's true.

Moment of truth. What do you say?

From some DC solicitations for March
on Newsarama.

GRIFTER & MIDNIGHTER #1
Written by Chuck Dixon
Art by Ryan Benjamin & Saleem Crawford
Cover by Benjamin
Grifter and Midnighter — two of the WildStorm Universe’s titans — come together for a wild ride of a miniseries by Chuck Dixon (Nightwing, Detective Comics) and Ryan Benjamin (TEEN TITANS)! These heroes are desperate, burned out, hair-trigger bad boys who are down on their luck — and now they’re set on a collision course that will either save the planet or destroy it.
On sale March 14 • 1 of 6 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US

This is random and unexpected to me because to my knowledge these two have only met once before. In Captain Atom: Argmageddon, where Midnighter made fun of Grifter's name and then Apollo killed him. And what is up with the lack of Apollo? Are they slowly trying to write out the whole Midnighter/Apollo partnership, like they didn't work together for the entire first decade of there career. Are they gonna break them up as a couple too? Are they even still together?  Various writers like to show them fighting in typical couple like ways but not one of them has bothered to show them getting over it.

Seriously, it's gotten to the point where I can make a list..

Two Dangerous Ideas - Midnighters all sulky because Pluto and Daylighter broke up, he's still thinking about it at the end.

Human on the Inside - They had a very big fight, Apollo even hit Midnighter pretty hard. Okay, they were under some sorta mood altering making gas or something but still, they'd never been violent towards each other before and the only way that's addressed in the whole book is one "look" panel near the end.

Authority: Revolution - They were seperated for five years, for reasons that later proved to be false. Midnighter apologised but there wasn't even one panel to show if they reconsiled or not.

Another thing leaning towards the 'trying to seperate them' thing is in Midnighter #1, Apollo is called Midnighters lover, even though they've been married for nearly a decade by now I think. It was a pretty tacky superhero wedding but it happened. Any other married superhero couple, a writer starts calling them lovers, people would be okay with this?

Cool Stuff [Dec. 7th, 2006|04:48 pm]
Hilarious porn ahoy!
Recently got to watch Stonewall and Riot, a 3D animation by Joe Phillips. Yeah it was mostly unsexy porn, but the characters totally rocked! I love the Masters of Doom (the big supervillain team) their intro song's hilarious. Analconda is the coolest design in my opinion. I think there was meant to be some sort of plot but it was hard to make out being so thoroughly intertwined with the porn. Oh well, it was pretty.

Can't believe I haven't mentioned...
I thought I'd mentioned this before but I can't find it anywhere. Pride High is an independent comic book released on Friday, September 29, 2006. It follows the adventures of five friends who create a gay-straight alliance at their high school for superpowered youth. I've read issues 1 and 2, which is all that's out so far, it's really good, though issue two was way different from one.

Attention artists of the man-love!
It has come to my attention that not everybody knows about Y!. If you already know about Y!Gallery ignore this, if not I suggest you check this host site out. Got some more erotic slashy pictures then you'd be able to post on Deviant Art? There's now a place to stick it. Y! is devoted solely to yaoi, slash, fanart, original of all ratings. Furry stuff isn't allowed anymore, and you should check out the Terms before submitting anything, but beyond that it's pretty easy and fun.
You all know about it now? Good. If you're into drawing fanart of canon gay superheroes I suggest you check out the Gay Superheroes community that I mod. :)

He was a good enviromentalist, who truly cared about native australian wildlife and habitat. Not only that he managed to actually help greatly to create awareness of those things.

At one time I lived one town over from Australia Zoo. As I drove past I was always happy that it was there.

May his next incarnation be a big, happy croc.

Heh. On the GayLeague site there is a phone interview with the character Freedom Ring to get his opinion on the lift on the ratings policy on GLBT characters. This is by the same guy who wrote a bad review for Marvel Team-Up #21, it's quite funny.

Highlights include...

Palmer: “Right. Well, thanks. And speaking of better moods, how does it feel to be an out gay character and star of Marvel Team-Up?”

Freedom Ring: “What do you mean ‘star of Marvel Team-Up’? The comic is canceled after October. Is this some twisted way for you to get on my good side?”

Palmer: “No, no. You don’t know? Joe Quesada said it himself over at Newsarama’s New Joe Fridays. He said it twice. It’s just there hasn’t been much, you know, fanfare about it.”

Freedom Ring: “What?! Quesada said I’m a star? Woo hoo! That rawks! I’m a star! A star! I told Jeffrey! Maybe now he’ll believe me!”

And...

Fredom Ring: “What? You’re saying Northstar’s a virgin?”

I'm A Star!

From Joe Fridays on Newsarama

NRAMA: Well, all projects are made up at one point…

Okay, so we’re going to have to put you on the spot again about an issue that arose during your Chicago Cup ‘O Joe panel, which was picked up by the gay press and sparked some debate.

Though you made it fairly clear the policy isn’t of your making and that you’re not happy about it yourself (correct us if we’re wrong about that interpretation?), it’s regarding the Marvel Comics policy about any solo series starring a gay or lesbian character would be published as a MAX title.

First of all, we have to ask, is it a true policy in the sense would your higher ups even truly consider publishing a solo series starring a homosexual character {and where his or her sexuality played a significant role), considering the negative publicity you cited Marvel as a company is apparently wary of?

It’s one thing to cite a policy saying “this would happen if”, but what is the true likelihood given the circumstances of any project actually being approved if this sensibility exists?

JQ: I’m glad you asked me this, fortunately this question has been raised again and it’s given us the opportunity to spark some internal discussions and revisit this issue especially in light of the fact that we have characters like Freedom Ring (who is the current star of Marvel Team Up without much fanfare mind you) and that we’ve had more gay and lesbian characters appearing in Marvel comics than ever before. In many ways, the old policy over the last few years has just sort of faded away, so let me just say that there is no longer any policy.

NRAMA: Okay, just so we’re clear about this – a character’s sexual orientation is no longer a factor in determining the rating of a potential title starring that character? So Freedom Ring – to use your example – could star in a non-MAX/Marvel Universe title – even if the character’s sexual orientation was a factor in the story?

JQ: Yes and Freedom Ring is already the star of Marvel Team Up.

NRAMA: And this is a new policy, or more accurately, the policy that may have prevented that the last few years is newly no longer in effect?

JQ: Correct.

Marvel Boy in Young Avengers/Runaways [Aug. 5th, 2006|12:19 pm]
[Tags|, ]

From Joe Fridays on Newsarama.

RQ: “fazeforce" - Are we ever going to see the Noh-Varr Marvel Boy from the Morrison series, and if so, will it be in the 616 Universe? This is a great character that isn't being used. You guys could be sitting on another Sentry here! Hope we see him pop up.

JQ: Oh, we're very aware of that, fazeforce, we are very aware. Make sure to check out Civil War: Young Avengers/Runaways, there may be a small guest appearance. Can you say. "snap!"

And confirmed in WW: CHICAGO '06 - MARVEL CIVIL WAR PANEL

Prompted by Quesada, Brevoort reiterated news from today’s edition of New Joe Fridays, Grant Morrison’s Marvel Boy character shows up in Civil War: Young Avengers/Runaways #2.
